What Is the eufy Omni S2?
The eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S2 is a premium combined vacuum and mop robot paired with the UniClean station — a tall cylindrical column in a champagne-bronze finish that handles auto-emptying, mop washing, mop drying, water refilling, and automatic detergent dispensing. It’s one of the most autonomous cleaning systems currently on the market.
At launch it’s priced at €1,499 in Europe, currently on sale at €1,099 until 7 June 2026.
5 Features That Set the S2 Apart
Several things make this robot genuinely different from the competition. First, the chassis lift: the robot physically raises its body to climb door thresholds up to 4.2 cm, and the mop auto-lifts 2.8 cm when transitioning from hard floor to carpet, so it never re-wets your rugs.
Second, the HydroJet 2.0 roller mop applies 1.5 kg of downward pressure at 360 scrubs per minute with 60-degree hot water — hand-scrubbing pressure, not a damp wipe.
Third, the 12-in-1 station means you can genuinely leave the system alone for up to 68 days without intervening. Fourth, CleanMind AI identifies room types and detects liquid messes versus dry debris. Fifth, Matter support means Alexa, Siri, and Google Home all work out of the box.
Performance: Does It Actually Deliver?
I ran four real-world tests. On suction, the S2’s 30,000 Pa AeroTurbo 2.0 system outperformed my previous Switchbot S20 noticeably — including pulling cat litter from the gaps in hardwood flooring, which most robots fail at.
The mopping test was where the S2 surprised me most. I spilled coffee, let it dry completely for several hours, and sent the S2 after it. The HydroJet 2.0 detected it as a dried stain, applied full pressure, and cleaned it in a single pass. I ran my hand over the surface afterward — nothing. That is not a result I expected.
The 12-in-1 station self-wash cycle washes the mop at 60°C through 32 water jets, then dries it at 55°C hot air. The mop is never sitting wet between cleaning cycles — which is the root cause of the bacteria problem most robots ignore. The 99.99% bacteria removal claim is independently certified.
Obstacle avoidance was equally impressive. A USB cable, a small toy, and a pet bowl — CleanMind AI identified and avoided all three before getting close.
Home Assistant Compatibility
The eufy S2 has no official Home Assistant integration. If you search for eufy in the HA integrations list, you won’t find it.
However, there are two working options. A community HACS integration for eufy robots works with the S2 and exposes 51 entities — giving you full cloud-based control and enough data for sophisticated automations. Alternatively, the S2’s native Matter support lets you pull it into Home Assistant via the Matter integration for basic start/stop control and status, with 8 entities, working locally.
One caveat: I was not able to get the map displaying on a Home Assistant dashboard at the time of testing. If you’ve managed to get this working, I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
Verdict: Who Should Buy the eufy Omni S2?
If you have pets, hard floors with stubborn stains, or you’ve been burned by robots that leave dirty mop pads smearing bacteria around your kitchen, the S2 is the most capable robot I’ve tested for exactly those scenarios. The mopping pressure is real, the self-cleaning station works as advertised, and the 68-day autonomous operation claim is credible.
For Home Assistant users, the combination of a full HACS integration and native Matter support means you’re not locked out of your smart home ecosystem — though you’ll get fewer entities if you stick to local Matter control.
At €1,099 on sale, if thorough mopping and genuinely autonomous maintenance are your priorities, this is the one to get.
